Happy Hearts Fund Announces New Executive Director, Olga Ruggiero

The Happy Hearts Fund (HHF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Olga Ruggiero as the fund’s new Executive Director. Olga will be responsible for the consistent achievement of the organization’s mission and financial objectives while ensuring optimal efficiency.

“Due to Olga’s leadership ability, experience and deep commitment to the fund’s mission, we are thrilled to have her lead Happy Hearts Fund as we head into the next decade,” expressed Petra Nemcova, the Founder of Happy Hearts Fund.

Olga Ruggiero’s resume has over ten years in the nonprofit sector including operations, fundraising, finance and advocacy experience. She’s served the Happy Hearts Fund since it’s inception in 2006. Prior to this appointment Olga was Director of Operations for the Fund, responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the infrastructure-related and financial functions.

“I am inspired and honored to lead Happy Hearts Fund as the Executive Director and I intend to strengthen and broaden our reach in collaborating with our wonderful partners, Boards and the team. I will make sure that children who have suffered so much – lost their homes, their families, have safe schools to return to while creating a sense of normalcy so the healing process can begin. I am dedicated to HHF’s mission because when you provide safe schools for children and the ability to learn, you not only help these children but also their parents, and the whole community can begin to flourish.” remarks Olga.

The Happy Hearts Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that rebuilds safe-resilient schools in areas impacted by natural disasters. We work during the gap period when children are forgotten after emergency response is complete, bringing hope and empowerment to generations of children and entire communities.
